That would have to be Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez. I remember being shocked when I heard. I also recall when T-Boz and Chilli got up on stage and there was that whole sad thing after Lisa was gone... That was hard.

Writer's Block: Gone but Not Forgotten [Dec. 4th, 2008|03:23 pm]

Many beloved television shows are no longer with us, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Six Feet Under, and Mystery Science Theater 3000. What defunct television show do you miss the most?

I keep waiting for Comedy Central to do something about Futurama. "New Episodes" are just the movies chopped up into bits. It's pretty disappointing. I'd like to see Futurama return as a series.

Writer's Block: Lunch Break [Sep. 12th, 2008|02:16 pm]

Do you bring or buy your lunch during the work week? How much money do you spend on food consumed during working hours?

I bring my lunch... There's a vending machine and soda machine. I'd say I'd put in around 3 to 4 dollars in them daily if I get the munchies.

The endless channels on my cable box.. It's too much.. I don't even watch most of them but I still want them as possible choices in case something good ever comes on any of them. hehe.

Writer's Block: Sharing Haikus [Sep. 5th, 2008|04:38 pm]
[Tags|]

The Japanese haiku poet Basho once wrote, "Old pond / a frog jumps / the sound of water." Try writing some of your own haikus about the little things in your life. A haiku generally consists of a five-syllable line, a seven-syllable line and a second five-syllable line. You can also use any combination of ten-to-fourteen syllables.

How do different types of music relate to your moods?

Not at all.... I never listen to music while angry or anything. I just listen to music when I'm doing something such as painting or working on something.

It would have to be "Dead Like Me" because.. Well, dang.. It plain rocked. It made you look at the world in a different light. The story was still being told and the characters never finished developing. George thought she had the whole world figured out and only AFTER she died did she realize that there was a whole lot of crap she still has yet to learn...

Hmm.. Memories.. Of summer.. Fond or not fond.. Nope, can't say I can think of anything. So much has happened that I can't think of anything as a shining defining pivotal cherry on top of it all.

Hmmm... That's a toughie.. I remember back in high school, I took a girl out for coffee and then my cellphone went off.. I had to excuse myself from the table but it was really a guise to hurry to my friend and grab a big bag of goodies, flowers, and several balloons. The look on her face was pretty neat when I came back.

It was funny because she was annoyed that I dared to walk away to talk on the cell! ;)

What would you change about your country if you could be in charge for a day?

Of the US of A? Boy, that's a toughie.. With so many levels and processes, nothing can be changed in a day. I'd probably try to deal with most pressing issues such as our poor education... A better system needs to be established in order to pay teachers and stop the classrooms from being overcrowded. The kids are our future and we need to fix it!
